Rachael & The Hemplebox

A Little Bit About Me
I have to credit my friend Heather for introducing me to the wonderful world of macramé through creating hemp jewelry! It started out as a fun hobby that has turned into an adventure in imagination and creation. I love to sit in my favorite chair, log-in to Pandora and let my imagination run free! Ryan, my husband thought that I should sell what I make and the search for the best venue started. I looked into different areas and after talking to a friend, decided that a website would be the best medium for me. So with the endless help of The Great & Mighty Rex King of All Geeks, my site exists. Ok, so I did have more than a little to do with the design but it was Rex, almost exclusively, that brought all my ideas into reality.

History of the Hemplebox
I started with just a few spools of hemp and slowly started to pick up beads here and there. Eventually the small container I kept this all in became too small. I needed something to expand into. I´d love to tell you that the Hemplebox is an ornately carved box with perfectly sized drawers for all of my supplies, and maybe someday it will be, but currently it is a VERY large maroon and grey tackle box. I started calling it Hemplebox when I got tired of calling it “my tackle box of hemp supplies” when I asked my husband, Ryan, to bring me something from it or bring it to me.

And thus the Hemplebox was born!
